Blue Jay
(Cyanocitta cristata)

Size: 12 inches


Adult:
Prominent blue crest. White face with black collar and necklace. Blue above with white spots and black bars on wings and tail. Underparts grayish.

Breeding adult: No marked changes.

Immature: Similar to adult.

Habitat: Ubiquitous. Forests and urban environments.

Breeding: In Florida, March-August.
