Male Adult: Dark head, white chin and eyebrows separated by dark streak through eye. Mottled red-brown above. Short gray tail and streaked sides.

Female adult: Brown head, buffy chin and eyebrow separated by eye streak. Lighter in color.  

Immatures are similar to adults. 

Habitat: Open country and grasslands.

A Florida resident.
