Adult male: Brownish gray above wih larger
crown. Head appears too small on body. Long pointed dark tail with white tip. Black dots
on wings. Neck iridescent. Pink legs and feet.
Adult female: Lacks
the iridescent markings on neck. Head and neck smoothly brownish-gray.
Immature: Scaled and spotted on wings but look like adults by their first winter.
Habitat: Ubiquitous. Forest and urban environments, suburban and open
habitats.
A Florida resident.
