Adult Male: Iridescent green above.
Iridescent ruby throat may appear black in bad light. Black patch extends from beneath the
eye to the long thin bill. Whitish breast and belly. Tail feathers tipped in white.
Adult Female: Lacks the ruby throat and eye patch.
Immature: Resembles
females adult.
Habitat: Forest habitats, residential areas and parks.
A Florida resident.
