Halifax Historical Museum

The focus of the museum is to present the history of the Halifax area with artifacts from early plantations and pioneer families as well as an extensive photographic and postcard collection, and beach auto racing memorabilia. It also features a research facility with books, old city directories and phone books, documents, and maps.

A video theater with seating for 50 features a large screen television and videos on the history of the area. Housed in the former 1910 Merchants Bank building, the walls are graced with hand-painted murals depicting early Florida history, and highlighted by Beaux Arts styling of stained glass windows, and lighting.
