Safari River Tours, Inc.
Bring your binoculars and join us on the St. Johns River for an interesting and
relaxing narrated boat ride.
Alligators, manatees, turtles, great blue herons
and egrets are but a sampling of the wide variety of the wildlife that may be seen in
their natural wild habitat along the way.
Our 49-passenger pontoon boat, the Jungle Jim, departs from 1905 Hontoon Road,
behind the Sunrise Restaurant in DeLand, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Our narrator takes you back in time as you glide
through an old logging canal to a time when steamboats operated on these waterways. In
addition to the history and folklore, guests also learn interesting facts and information
about the wildlife.
Our 28-passenger pontoon boat, the Lady
Patricia, departs from DeLeon Springs State Park, behind the Old Spanish Sugar Mill
Grill and Griddle House, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. This narrated trip features an exciting
look at the Lake Woodruff Wildlife Refuge where visitors may see a wide variety of birds,
river otters, manatees, alligators, and turtles in their natural habitat.
Reservations are recommended. Group rates are
available. Ask about our Sunset Dinner Cruises for parties of ten or more!
